The main functions of the Civil Service selection and Training Department are as follows:

Recruitment and Selection of civil srvice personnel
|

(b)
|
Concurrence on proposals for promotion to the gazetted officer posts of the ministries
|

(c)
|
Training of civil service personnel
|
|
(d)
|
Collecting and compiling of information and conducting research on matters relating to the recruitment, selection and training of civil service personnel
|
|
(e)
|
International relations on civil service matters.
|
|
The objective of the Civil Service Selection and Training Department is to assist the Civil Service Selection and Training Board with adequate office work and provide necessary information for future planning of efficient and effective civil service in Myanmar.
